the first holiday of 2016 is to take place in Ingleton North Yorkshire on June 13th. There are many wonderful views in the area including the old village of Dent with its cobbled streets and interesting stories, including the female blacksmith. The church at Dent is where the loin of beef gets the name Sirloin after being knighted by Henry I. There is the church and village chapel le Dale where many of the people that died building the Ribblehead viaduct are buried. The hotel is the Riverside Lodge in Ingleton, possibly the best hotel we use. The hotel has only eight rooms and are issued on a strictly first-come first-served basis the overflow taking up hotels next door. In the evenings we all meet up and go for a meal at the local pub, and of course a few glasses of wine.
